The present scheme is one of the ten components of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP). While the other nine components of NMCP and other Government schemes address other aspects of competitiveness of MSMEs, the present scheme focuses the two important aspects, namely, enhancing competitiveness of the MSME sector through Energy Efficiency and Product Quality Certification. The present scheme will also deal with the issue relating to reduction in emission of Green House Gas (GHG) by the MSME sector, through energy efficiency
